Hello, guys. My friend has been suffering from a certain solid tumor. He was suggested to try with IAP inhibitor. As far as I understand, this is still in trial phase. Arent you afraid to take IAP as monotherapy? I would like to hear what you think about this. Thank you in advance.

Hello. IAP inhibitors inhibit apoptosis. Apoptosis is a programmed cell death. I also know that these agents are something new. However, I have heard that they increase resistance to chemotherapeutic drug. This can be tricky. I don’t know what to advise your friend. He should consider this thoroughly. Good luck with all! Bye!
