Recently received results of a CAT scan for lower right pelvic pain. Nothing related was found, but results showed cysts on my liver and one on my kidney which I was told are incidental. But it also said I had atelactasis at the base of my left lung. The doctor said we will probably follow up with a chest xray but evidentally didn't think it is anything to be concerned about. Then I remembered waking one night a few months ago with terrible, paralizing chest pain. It went away in a few minutes and I didn't give it much thought until now but that was evidentally the base of the lung collasping. The research I did said sometimes the lung collapses for no reason, particularly in tall, thin people. What could be going on? I'm also wondering if stress could contribute to this?
