Hi, my friend is 36 years old and he was using Ativan for pretty long time since his mother died last year. His friend suggested him try with it as hew felt fear and other panic symptoms. Soon he started to take it regularly and every day. I have suggested him to visit his doctor because of that and when he did it doctor ordered him to stop drinking it. I would like to know something more about withdrawal from Ativan.

Hi, Atiwan is very serious medication which causes mental and physical addiction. It is very difficult to stop using it if someone did it for a longer period of time. Symptoms which appear in such situation are very similar to withdrawal from alcohol. Patient is experiencing shaking, sweating, nausea, tremor, convulsion vomiting and muscle cramps.
