Autoimmune disease........ Alopecia [hair loss]

Hair loss starts in blotches all over the head. sometimes al hair is lost.
Any advice, or solutions?

Hi! It is very hard to talk about support groups when you didn’t say where you come from but I may as well tell you that there are online support groups and chats you may want to join.
Alopacia areata is a nasty disease and it surely has a very negative impact on people and their life quality.
As for the solution, I am sure you are aware that there is no permanent cure and that even if you manage to make new hair grow on one place, new blotches may appear.
It seems that Cortisone injections proved to be beneficial and helpful in making new hair grow but like any other treatment out there, it doesn’t reverse the disease.
You need to discuss all the options with your doctor. In cases where the all the hair is lost, combination of drugs may be used.
