Hi there girls! I was wondering if any of you used the Aztec Indian Healing Clay Mask? I saw the add online and it sounds cool but then again I really don’t know if what they say is true and I honestly don’t know what I should be looking for. I know that my face is oily and I get pimples from time to time. Would this mask be able to help me in any way? Thanks

My best friend was just like you-she liked the add because Cleopatra used it years and years ago! Please, I couldn’t believe she bought that marketing scam. I went online to check it myself and the thing is that I haven’t found any reviews about this product, but I did ran into a couple of different sites with their advertisements. If what they say is true, that the mask is cleaning the pores, getting rid of dirt and toxins, it should help you avoid pimples because the pores would be clean and therefore sebum won’t stuck in it to form the pimple. I just can’t say with certainty about the results because all the products out there report cleaning the pores and we still get the pimples. If you decide to try it, let me know how it went! It’s been a month since my friend bought it and she used it once, so she is not the experience you are looking for.

I also was attracted to the marketing of this product. My main reason for purchasing the Aztec Clay, however, was because it was a clay powder that I could mix at my own convenience with just one other ingredient. A lot of prepared masks are loaded with fragrances, preservatives, and other chemicals that I don't want on my skin. Also, being a dry powder, I could store the Aztec Clay product a lot longer than a premixed clay that could possibly become contaminated or dry out.
I purchased my first Aztec Clay several years ago, and I use this mask pretty regularly. It is best to mix it according to directions with ACV. I leave it on for 20-30 minutes (until it is nice and dry). It really tingles as it dries. Once it is dried, I jump into the shower and rinse it all off with warm water and a cotton washcloth. I wouldn't recommend the sink because it takes too long. Afterwards, my skin is really pink (from all the increased circulation), but the pinkness subsides within 30 min. to 1 hour. Your skin will feel incredibly fresh afterwards, but hydration and moisturization is key after this mask. Use it whenever you feel like your skin is getting clogged up or needs a good detox. I have used it as much as 1x/day for a couple of weeks when I felt like my skin was really needing a good cleanse. As with all masks, surface oil will be greatly diminished, but oil comes from within, so no mask (not even Aztec Indian Clay) can make your complexion perfect forever! It's a combination of healthy lifestyle and good skincare. And remember, everyone gets a pimple every now and then. It's just life!! Best wishes, and hope this helps!
