My mother has ulcerative colitis. I am very worried for her. The last episode was very dangerous. She defecated often, and there was some fluid and blood in her stools. She was so dehydrated she lost consciousness. She got infusion for lost electrolytes and she was prescribed with Azulfidine for the treatment of ulcerative colitis.
