Hello, My Mother has been diagnosed with hyperthyroid. Has been tking medication for years. Has been complaining of sweating a lot and leg cramps. Has had some hair loss. Doctor ordered a blood and 24 hour urine test. Made an appointment for her at an Endocrinologist. Doctor said that her blood and urine "numbers" were off. Any ideas? Everything that I have read points only to blood tests for thyroid. No meniton of urine testing. Family hisotry of thyroid problems. Almost all of her brothers have thyroid problems and are taking medicine. Appointment with Endocrinologist is not for another month and a half. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.
