Yeast overgrowth is likely to cause burning during intercourse. Yeast could over grow due to excessive douching, using birth control pills, antibiotics, etc
You could have caught an infection if you had some cuts inside vaginal walls made my fingers and long nails. If the infection’s bacterial, it could be easily passed to your partner.
