Two weeks ago, I went to a clinic to be examined for excessive vaginal discharge. I was told I had Bacterical Vaginosis and put on 7 days of Metronidazole. However, after finishing the pills, I still seem to have excessive discharge, and now it has more frequently been yellow in color. There is no itch or burn, or any discomfort while peeing. Usually the discharge is the same consistancy and coloring as what my normal discharge is, there is just a lot more of it. Is it possible that I was misdiagnosed? Or perhaps I need a longer course of antibiotics or possible a different type of medication?

I am sexually active and so I was also tested for pretty much every std you can think of. I was told the med lab would call me if anything was positive and since I never recieved a call, I'm assuming I didn't test positive for anything.

I have an appointment with my doctor, but her office is booked and I cant get in to see her for a few more days so Im here looking for any advice til then. thanks!

The medication which you were taking needs to be changed. I went through the same thing and was treated 2 times with that medication. It did not get rid of it. So, the third time I was treated with Clindamycin and it took care of it. Mention that medication to your doctor. Hope this is helpful.

I've had the exact same problem as you for the past 4 years have seen many Dr's to avail. You are one of the first people who has described such a similar circumstance. In my case my partner of 6 years who I am monogomous with often times gets a rash on the head of his penis from me that lasts for several days. What I wanted to know has your partner or any partners ever had this?
