Hey Ladies!

Finally got to the doctor and got a prescription for BV, metronidazole. From other posts it seems this is a common antibiotic used. I have a few questions - both about the medication and because this is my first time dealing with BV.

- How bad are the side effects? My doctor really stressed eating a good meal with the pills, but the problem is, I have a very small stomach. In fact, I haven't eaten at all today - I don't recall eating yesterday (I know this sounds far fetched, but I really don't think I did.. between going to class, work, and signing a lease for a new apartment I didn't have time. And if someone's not there saying 'Hey! ... Didja eat yet?' I don't think about it.) The last time I ate was Wednesday, and I couldn't even finish a taco for supper before feeling sick. So, I'm really concerned about that. I was on an antibiotic about a month ago that left me curled up in pain for two days because I didn't eat sufficiently, even though I ate much more than usual.

- She didn't mention anything about waiting a certain amount of time before having sex, using tampons, etc. Any suggestions on this would be great!

- B.V. Hm. I'm scared I may have this chronically, even though it's only my first time dealing with it. I just came off Birth Control in January, before my March cycle began, I had my first yeast infection. Recently, I had another one. And now, the B.V. AND yest infection. What are some ways, if any that you have found to ease the odor/discharge/mild itching?/mild burning (and right now I'm still iffy about using a tampon with yogurt.. Maybe I haven't suffered long enough.)

Sorry it's so long! And I have read other posts on here about B.V. I just still felt a little lost.
Thank you ladies!
