Bad oder comming from groin area.

I am not sure what is wrong but i am having bad pugent oder coming from my groing area. The best i can tell it is originating from around my scrotum. i have no rash or anything that looks abnormal. However, it is rather moist around my scrotum as well as a minor itch. I can wash my groin area and with in an hour the smell is back. this has been occuring for the last 2 months. Does anyone know what might be wrong?
