| I am 7 months pregnant and have been having severe tooth pain for about a week. The pain is so bad i cant even sleep. My doctor said I should not take anything but tylenol for the pain....but that dosnt work at all. Is it safe to get a tooth extracted while this far along in my pregnancy?I dont want to be in agonizing pain anymore!!! |

It is important to get rid of the pain as when you are having a toothache while pregnant, it can be stressful for both you and your baby. Due to many hormonal changes every woman is going through while pregnant, the toothache is a very common problem which occurs in this period.
I had problems with my teeth as well, also with my gums, my dentist was pumping them out each time I went to fix my teeth.
Seven of my teeth were fixed during my pregnancy, this is a big number, don’t you think? But I had to do that as my doctor suggested not to be crazy to live with the pain as this could affect my baby, but to go to the dentist’s regularly and have my teeth fixed.
I was also prescribed some calcium pills as in pregnancy the baby takes all the calcium from mother’s organism and therefore the teeth are getting softer, so it is needed to be replaced with new amounts of calcium. Ask your dentist about that and immediately make the appointment! |

| It doesn't matter whether you are pregnant or not; if you have a toothache you should see a dentist immediately. They should be able to treat your tooth safely even if you are pregnant. It sounds like you need a root canal. Good luck and let us know how you make out. |
