Being a caregiver to ALS patient is all I do in my life now. My husband, 57 years of age has been suffering from ALS almost two years now. Even though he was determined in the beginning not to give up in front of this illness, it seems that he is not so full of energy now. How can I help him?

Well, you must raise his spirit somehow. He is not a young person, so overall mental and physical strength are on a bit lower level from the start, not to mention the effect of the disease. Perhaps a professional help might come in hand, experts who deal with behavior changes and even disorders. You also, talk to him, try to make him realize that you still see him as your husband. That is most important right now.
