Hi, I’ve been trying to cure acne for a long time, but I had no success. I went to dermatologist and he prescribed me benzoyl peroxide. Can you tell me something about this drug?

Hi, I used benzoyl peroxide couple of years ago, when I had had frequent acne outbreaks. My doctor recommended this to me, because nothing else worked. There are many forms of this drug. It can be found as a cream, lotion, gel, cleansing bar, mask or stick. I used a cream, because it was the only form available in my town. Dermatologist warned me not to use benzoyl peroxide more than prescribed because it could cause irritation of the skin. Before applying, the area should be washed with nonmedicated soap. Benzoyl peroxide helped me a lot, and I hope you’ll have the same results.
