Hi. I`ve been binging from time to time. I don`t feel like I have a binge eating disorder. I am just binge eating sometimes. Whenever I feel depressed or sad. Food helps me to calm. When I don`t know what to do, I eat. Is that so bad?

Hi. Although I know the answers on my problems are not in the fridge, I too eat whenever I feel lost or sad. Many people with a binge eating disorder are depressed. Any negative emotions, such as anger, or anxiety, can trigger a binge episode. I would say you and me have a BED. I feel really ashamed over it. Nobody knows about my problem. Not even my closest friends. I usually eat during night hours. When I feel really depressed I eat candies. It is so calming. Maybe I should find something else to do when I feel like that. Only what?!
