Bipolar Disorter and me

Hello. About two years ago my husband has been diagnosed with some disease called bipolar disorder and we are both happy that he admitted that suffers from some disease and that he needs treatment.
So, psychiatrist prescribed him some medications and he is feeling great.
But in a past two months I have noticed that he drinks more then he used to. I don’t know is this connected with his disease but I'm not sure because he drinks those pills regularly.
Anything I should be worry?

I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder few months ago and I will share some information with you about it.
First I want to mention that before I was diagnosed I succeeded to loose my family and friends because of my disturbed behavior.
You probably don’t know that alcohol and drug abuse are very common among people with bipolar disorder.
Before I contacted my doctor I started to drink a lot and I remember waking up in the morning and alcohol was the first thing on my mind.
All this lasted until I contacted my doctor which prescribe me some medications but, he worn me that this alcohol abuse could be big problem because a lot of people continued with alcohol even thou they were drinking their pills. So, my suggestion is- talk with your husband and tell him to stop drinking imidiately or to seek for professional help before this get worse.
