Birth Control and Weight Gain

I really just want to know the truth: does birth control cause weight gain if there is no increase in normal daily calorie intake (with weight maintenance) or does it just increase appetite?

I refuse to go on it if it causes weight gain without calorie increase, even to halt the amenhorrea (sp?).

yes some birth controls cause weight gain especially really strong hormonal one ...but i hear they have a birth control out that causes weight loss or will keep you at a level weight ...u should ask your doctor for more info
