Hi, I have a question about bladder. It happened to me many times after swimming in the pool to have a frequent urination, which sometimes lasts for a whole week. Why does swimming affect my bladder so badly to develop this complication?

Hi, it happens to me every time when I go to the beach. I have a great time, and everything is fine until the next morning when I wake up and feel the weakness in my bladder muscles. I have a feeling that I can’t control urination, so I go to toilet every 15 minutes. I am really careful and I change my wet swimming suite the same minute when I get out of the water, but it’s not enough. My bladder is sensitive, and I develop urinary tract infection every time when I swim in cold water. It usually helps when I make a hot tea and cover belly and legs with a blanket. I asked my doctor about this, and she only said that I have to avoid swimming in cold water and being barefoot at home or anywhere else. My last option is to take vitamins and make my immune system stronger.
