Bledding when having a bowel movement

My fiance's mom told me that she is having bleeding when she has a bowel movement (bright red, and alot), every 6-8 months. She doesn't want to go to the doctor, so I'm trying to research this for her...can anyone help??

Your fiance's mom could have something as simple as hemorrhoids or something far more serious. She simply cannot ignore bleeding. I know that people are scared and embarrassed by symptoms like this, but it is absolutely necessary that she talk to her doctor who can do any necessary tests. Good luck.
