Last Wednesday... I started spotting and i normally do just before i get my period... But then this time my period was brown and i dint see much blood and i got scared..... I had heard about a friend who has same scenario and ended up being pregnant so... I took home pregnancy test. It was positive… I took 3 test and they were all positive…. Now…Wednesday (03/5/0 all the way to yesterday (03/11/0 I was just spotting … it was more pinkish but last night… it got darker and more flow like a regular period….
And I am now scared………………….
I am going for ultra sound tomorrow… but what if its too late…. Should I do something???  |

i am so relieved to hear everyone's stories. i don't have a 'really' regular cycle however, to be more than a few days 'late' is odd for me and usually when i see my first bit of discoloration I start bleeding right away. well, yesterday morning i saw a little discoloration and this morning is the same. i have not taken a test yet...i really want to be pregnant...but i'm scared. after reading up i feel much more at ease...i'm going to go and get a test today to find out for sure. i just wanted to thank you all for everything you have posted and good luck to you all and god bless you all for sharing your stories and helping people understand what the doctors can't explain to us  |

| I had a miscarriage November of 2007. My last period was March 19th (as normal) and about a week later, I started spotting. This is what prompted me to take a pregnancy test and of course, it came back positive. I have learned that bleeding is very normal but the doctor is monitoring my hCG levels and I'm supposed to go in for an ultrasound. I am only about 3 1/2 weeks pregnant and have been bleeding pretty much since conception. I never bled the first time but still ended up having a miscarriage. Pretty weird. Our bodies are magnificent things and sometimes you don't know what you think or expect. I have learned that bleeding is normal so I am not too alarmed. I'm glad to know that there are many other women out there who understand and have gone through this as well. Always stay optimistic and never speak anything negative, no matter what. What you speak today......you will live tomorrow. Keep your head up and pray and speak life over your baby. God bless!!! |

 hi there my name is kristy im 11wks pregnant started bleeding like a period on may 5 like my period then the following morning i had a transvaginal ultrasound done seems like theres a tear in my placenta i had gushing bood come out of me really really bad i was hemorriging doc says im in the beginning of having a miscarrige is this true please help now its may 7 and its just brown blood now could i have lost the baby already? |

| HELLO. I DID NOT KNOW THAT I WAS PREGNANT ON FRIDAY. I WENT TO THE RESTROOM AND I HAD BLED A LITTLE BIT BUT IT WAS A DARK BROWN. I THOUGHT I HAD STARTED. WELL SATURDAY AND SUNDAY I DID NOT HAVE ANY MORE BLEEDING. SO I DECIDED TO TAKE A TEST AND IT WAS POSITIVE. I WENT TO THE DR ON MONDAY AND HE TOLD ME THAT I WAS PREGNANT BUT THE LINE ON THE TEST WAS LIGHT WHICH INDICATED THAT I WAS JUST A FEW WEEKS PREGNANT. I DECIDED TO MAKE A APPOINTMENT WITH THE OB DR FOR THURSDAY AND TOLD THEM I HAD LIGHT BLEEDING WAS THIS OK. THE LADY ON THE PHONE SAID THAT WAS NORMAL. TUESDAY I STARTED BLEEDING A LITTLE MORE AND SO MY HUSBAND TOOK ME TO THE ER. AFTER 5 HOURS OF WAITING ON MY BLOOD TEST AND URINE TEST RESULTS THE DR. CAME BACK AND SAID THAT MY ENZYME LEVER WAS LOW AND THAT MEANT I WAS JUST A FEW DAYS PREGNANT OR I HAD LOST THE BABY. I WAS SURE THAT I HAD LOST THE BABY BECAUSE I KNEW THERE WAS NO POSSIBLE WAY THAT I COULD BE A FEW DAYS SINCE MY HUSBAND HAD BEEN OUT OF TOWN FOR A WEEK. AFTER I GOT HOME I WAS PUT ON BED REST UNTIL MONDAY. I GO BACK TO THE DR. TODAY BUT IM SURE I LOST THE BABY SINCE I AM BLEEDING MORE AND I HAVE PASSED SEVERAL SMALL CLOTS AND ONE BIG CLOT. I AM JUST CURIOUS TO WHAT THE DR WILL DO TODAY AND WHAT MY FUTURE IS ON HAVING CHILDREN. MY FIRST PREGNANCY WAS GREAT AND I HAD NO COMPLICATIONS. I AM JUST SHOCKED THIS HAPPENED. |

| well i am haveing the same bleeding i am about 6 1\2 weeks and the blood its a dark red . i went to the dr he look and said that he didnt see any bleeding but then when me and my husband had sex last nite he look down and saw dark blood and stop are sex life has stopped which means that hes mad all the time and i am stess out about the bleeding i have a 6 year old and that ever happen with her no blood at all HELP |

Found out I was pregnant on July 29, 2 days later I started to spot..that went on for 6days(aug 4)..then it turned into red blood still not enough to full a pad. Went to ER they did a blood test Aug 5, and it was positive. Did ultrasound on the same day and they did not detect any pregnancy. Went to my doc th following day Aug 6..they think I am having a miscarriage(I myself refuse to believe that as I still feel pregnant). I did a blood test again on Aug 7, however that same evening I had a major cramping in my lower Left abdomen. The results of the blood test came back positive on Aug 8 (2008) that I am positive pregnant. However in the morning I passed a piece of clot a Little larger than the regular. Can I still be pregnant?
I forgot to mention that th HCG level on the first blood test was almost 150..the one at the hospital was in the 300's and the most current is 717...
the point is th ER and my doctor does not seem to know what they are talking about..sadly I have to go back again..but I am thinking of switching doctor so I can get a second opinion |

It is scary to have bleeding during pregnancy- I have bled during both of my pregnancies.
With my first son I had some light spotting but when I had a scan at 8 weeks there was a huge bleed around the placenta. I was regularly scanned over a period of a month and the bleeding settled and the rest of my pregnancy was normal. He is now 7 years old.
My second pregnancy I bled a lot at 10 weeks and was scanned and told to rest and then to my horror bled at 11 1/2 weeks. Was scanned again and bleed had gone around the placenta so they reckoned it was the old bleed coming out. After that my pregnancy was normal and he is now 7 months old.
Like I said i said it is worrying and the best advice I can give is call your Dr or Midwife and get it checked out and get plenty of rest. |

| I am almost 7 wks pregnant. Friday started spotting very lightly. Sat morn. it was light pink color. Went to ER, they did a vaginal ultrasound & saw a 5 week 5 day baby, yolk sac & fetal pole present. HCG level was around 2700 range. Had HCG checked on Mon. morning & it went up to the 3900 range. Dr told me I will miscarry this week because my numbers did not go up enough. Very scared. Bleeding turned to brown but now is bright red. No cramping or clotting. It is now Wed. and I only bleed when I'm moving around. I am not believing I am having a miscarriage until I see the baby. Every day that passes gives me a little more hope. Am seeing the Dr again on Monday. Praying alot & keeping fingers crossed. |

hi there
i tried for 3 years for my son and by some miracle fell pregnant naturally. my son is now 4 and i have been trying since he was born for another baby. the dr's put my on a fertility drug called chlomid in april and i have just found out friday just gone that i am finally pregnant again. i am currently 4 weeks 5 days.
problem is i started bleeding 2 days ago. it started with pink on the toilet paper and the next day was proper bright red blood. when i wipe myself there is lots of blood but there is hardly any on my sanitry towel? i have period type cramps but nothing too painfull. i have passed a few small clots but nothing more than i normally do when i have a period as im usually very heavy.
I had to go to hospital today for a blood test to find out my hcg leverl and have to go back on froday for another one and get my results on monday. if my leverl has gone up then there is a good chance i am still pregnant but if its decreased then i am or will m/c.
i am still being sick and am peeing every 10 mins it seems and am so tired. i am so confused. my head is saying one things but my heart the other. i will keep you posted x x |
