It has been almost a month sicne my last period. I'm 18 and my husband and I have been trying to conceive for 6 months now. We make love on atleast an every other night basis. Last night, during intercourse, I began to bleed, also there were sharp pains in upper abdomen and on my side. The blood was a dark red color. I know it's not an infection or anything of the like because I have had a checkup recently. I have read that it is quite possible for implantation bleeding to occur around the time your period should occur. Can anyone give me a somewhat professional opinion? Thank you so much.
