Bleeding under skin

Hello. I am a guy 21 years old and I have noticed yesterday that a big black bruise have popped up on my leg, and I don't understand where I got it from. I don't remember having any bigger, or even smaller injury to that region. I do not understand. It looks like a haematoma except it isnâ€™t swollen. What could this be?

There are numerous causes of bleeding under the skin. It could be one of many. The possible causes include injury (you might hurt it in sleep or something), taking blood thinners such as aspirin, hemophilia or some other blood disease (very unlikely), inflammatory diseases. Or it could be caused by a strain or fracture. Take your pick. I think I got them all, but I should go to the GP if I get any other symptoms.
