| I have had blood tinged mucus discharge for about a month. Lately, there has also been blood in my stool. I also have a nagging ache/cramping in my lower right abdomen radiating to my side and back. No diarrhea or constipation but softer, shorter, more numerous stools. Been to the doctor 3 times. First treated with antibiotics for "colitis" then treated for hemorrhoids. When the symptoms got worse - much more mucous, visible blood in stools - I was told I needed a colonoscopy, which is being scheduled. I am 42 years old and terrified of colon cancer. Has anyone been through this? |
