Blurred vision from chloramphenicol

I have bacterial conjunctivitis. I went to see my doctor today and he prescribed me chloramphenicol eye drops. I’ve just put it in my eyes twenty minutes ago and I saw everything blurred. Now it’s better but I’m wondering is Blurred vision from chloramphenicol normal thing? Anybody knows? Thanks!

Blurred vision is the most common side effects of chloramphenicol eye drops. But don’t worry, this usually disappears within a few minutes of applying the eye drops. If it doesn’t happen, then stop use eye drop and call your doctor for consultation. Also sometimes people can feel mild burning or stinging in the eyes.
