Hi, my friends and I are 15 years old, and of course, we noticed some obvious Body Changes in the last 2-3 years. We would like to know what is happening inside us that triggered those changes. Any explanation could be useful.
Hi, puberty is the time when our Body Changes very fast. Everything starts when a gonadotropin-releasing hormone triggers releasing two more puberty hormones into the bloodstream: luteinizing hormone and follicle-stimulating hormone. For boys, this means starting of production of testosterone and sperm. In girls, these hormones start stimulate the ovaries to begin producing estrogen. This hormone prepares the girls for pregnancy. Therefore, our Body Changes are actually a result of chemicals moving around inside us. It is normal for boys to start puberty between 10 and 15, and for girls between 8 and 13. It doesn’t matter if we don’t notice Body Changes immediately. Every one of us is different, but the Body Changes appear sooner or later.
