Hi, metastatic cancer means that the cancer is spreading from the part of the body where it started to other parts of the body. Some cancerous cells travel through blood stream and tend to develop colonies in remote parts of the body. Bones are susceptible to development of metastasis. Lymphatic channels and lymph nodes trap these cells and destroy them, so they prevent spreading of the cancer. If they don’t achieve to do this job, cancerous cells settle in a new location, begin to grow, and form new tumors.
