Is it safe to try to become pregnant after doing Botox injections? I have been using Botox for over 1 year and my husband and I are planning on trying for a third baby. Is it safe? Is using Botox during a pregnancy safe also? Please let me know.
Your question made me curious about this. So, after researching it a bit, it seems like there really is not enough information available to make an informed decision on whether to use, or not use, Botox during pregnancy. And it doesn't look like there have been many, if any at all, studies done about this. What I did find was some basic guidelines about using Botox while pregnant: "Doctors suggest that if pregnant women should have Botox, then the benefit should justify the potential risk, especially to the fetus. Cosmetic reasons are not justifiable. If a woman has been getting Botox and discovers that she is pregnant, she should not take successive treatments too soon or not until after pregnancy."
Hope this helps.
