Hello! After reading up on some info on IBS, I think I may suffer from the syndrome. However, I didn't see any info relating to this particular topic.

Throughout my high school years, I would get up around 6:30 am and leave for school a little after 7. In this time frame, I would usually (3-4 days of the week) have a sudden urge for a bathroom break. When I went, it was quite loose (almost a complete liquid), and sometimes painful (like it was acidic). However, if I decided to hold it (due to the fact that I knew how it would feel), the feeling would pass. Then, in the evening hours I would again get the urge to have a bowel movement, but this time, it would be quite solid, sometimes to the point of constipation.

This still happens to me on occasion. Usually in the mornings, my stools are loose, but if I wait until the evening, they are much firmer; sometimes I feel constipated, sometimes it's a happy medium.

Any thoughts? Could this be related to IBS? Thank you for any information.

Your bowel reabsorbs the water from your poop. So the longer your poop stays inside you the more water gets reabsorbed..to the point of solidifying your poop. and Costipation. I suggest eating more oatmeal. it adds mass to your poop and i find it easy to drop a duece when i eat more of it. i have "IBS" too.
