Hello!
My sister is planning brain surgery. We have been to doctor and talked it over… however we want to hear somebody with experience, that has been there as a patient. What is she to expect after surgery?
Thanks in advance!

Hello!
There are some typical complaints: headaches (as a result of direct result of trauma to the brain). Many people complaint they have headaches many years after surgery. Some people feel itching along the incision (mostly people do not complaint after the healing process is over, that is after 6 months to 1 year), other feel numbness at the incision site, which is also perfectly normal, since nerve endings in the scalp have been cut which causes the numb feeling. People complain that even the slightest activity wears them out… so fatigue. Another common complaint after brain surgery is also dizziness. Some people complain for short memory loss, some feel depression and anger.
