Break-through bleeding or miscarriage?

Yesterday evening I went to the bathroom and noticed a little blood on my panties; after i wiped there was ALOT of blood. Almost as if I had started my period, however, my period is not suppose to start for another 11 days or so. Im on birth control and missed one day so I took two the next day. I had also had unprotected sex once between my last period and now. I am bleeding like I were on my period, have mild cramps intermittently, and feel a little bloated in my lower abdomen. Im not sure what it is from and whether I should wait to see when and if this ends or should I take a pregnancy test just to make sure? Help!
