Hi, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer three years ago. She undergone chemotherapy and radiation, but she has metastasis in her lungs. What is her prospective?
Hi, I must say that it is a pity she didn’t notice it before, while she could prevent spreading of the cancer by therapy or even if necessary removing the infected to prevent any new malignant occurrence. The metastatic activity of a tumor, increases with both tumor size and nodal involvement. She should have detailed examination in order to determine size of tumor, it’s structure and the way it spreads. Then it is more likely to determine possible therapy. Each metastetic state has a portion of cured cases, so it depends a lot on tumor properties.
