Breast feeding and period

i have been told that breastfeeding can act as a birthcontrol, and that sometimes you don't get a period. my question is: if i am breast feeding and formula feeding, will that have some kind of effect on my period?

yes, you will be more likely to get you period and you cannot depend on breastfeeding as a form of birth control
