Hi, my father has been diagnosed with bronchial cancer. He tried to give up smoking a few times, but couldn’t resist it. What is this cancer like?

Bronchial cancer is a serious condition that has increased occurrence rate. Bronchi are large airways of the lungs. A bronchial adenoma is sort of a glandular tumor in the trachea or large bronchi. The major problem arises when cancer causes obstruction of the airway. This tumor is also referred to as bronchial gland tumors; mucous gland adenoma; bronchial carcinoid tumors. These tumors grow slowly and it is luck that they rarely metastasize, spread to other tissues and organs in the body. Bronchial cancer can induce bleeding or obstruction of a lung or lung lobe. Smoking is just a bad habit, that additionally increases chances for developing cancer.
