Broken Hymen? DID I break it or is it just torn skin?

hey
im 16 and ive been having sex with my steady boyfriend for a few weeks
but lately it's been very rough and today i was on top
he was going very very VERY fast and his penis slipped out and i sat on it
he noticed A LOT of blood and I was bleeding for a good ten minutes
its always hurt at the start of sex
so we were looking forward to breaking it
we did a high five and everything

HOWEVER im not sure if it was the HYMEN that was bleeding
there's a really big visible tear near the back of the opening
is that the hymen?
or is that just skin?
whatever it is, it still hurts....

please help?

Is the tear kind of on the outside?? If so I had the same thing happen. He missed the mark and popped you one. I had the same thing happen with my hubby and I, one night we were a bit too wild and he missed the mark and BAM! Ouch and then blood. Had about an inch tear at the back of the opening between my anus and vaginal opening. Was scarred but when I had our daughter a couple years later my doctor stitched it up for me then.

You are probably fine.. the hymen is INSIDE your vagina so it all depends ont he cut if it is inside out closer to the outside. Also how thick is that skin, sicne the hymen is very thin.

Generally, the hymen is broken the first time you have sex. it is a membrane that is not too far inside the vaginal opening and almost any penetration will break it..you probably have a skin tear. generally just lube up good and don't get too rough
