I figure this question has already been asked somewhere but I just can't feel like the answer is for me unless I ask it myself with my own exact case...
I'm 16. I've been getting a brown discharge... once I got it a few days after my period and another time I got it before, by about a week. It comes out wet and stringy but there isn't much. It lasts for a few days, possibly a week but I haven't really kept track. There's very little though but just enough to make it easilly noticeable. I'm not sexually active so I'm sure its not a type of STD. I don't have any other symptoms that I'm aware of.
I need to know if this is just period related or it could be a sign of something... if it is... what could it be a sign of? |

Very normal!!!  When your period starts it is bright red blood, as your uterous is disguarding its lining, towards the end f your period it becomes old blood loss, so it will be brown sometimes lasting a couple of days, in some women it becomes a dark chocolate colour, and yes it can become stringy,, You are normal and have nothing to worry about |
