Brown discharge... changed pills

Its been one week now that i changed from ORTHO TRI-CYCLEN to Loestrin 24 Fe. For the last two day i have been getting brown discharge that just keeps getting worse. Before I got that i was spotting but i was pinkish. Tonight the brown is thick and its looks like clots. I don't know what it is, I want to make sure I am ok. i did feel tired all day though, but I have been busy.
I am going to call the doctor tomorrow.
Are the pills not stronger enough?
I am not having any other symptoms or it doesn't smell or itch.
Could it be anything else?
Please let me know. Thanks!!
