I am 21yrs.old, with one child(28months old), not using birth control, and is having unprotect sex. I had my period on April 4th to8th(normal) and I had a brown discharge(just lite spotting) on 23rd and it last for two days. My period is due anytime now and today I notice as I wipes a brown mucus..what could this mean
It could be so many things that it is impossible to know for sure until or unless it appears again and you have it checked with gynecologist. I will make some of the suggestions but it doesn’t have to mean anything.
The last brown discharge you had could be just announcing arrival of your period. Since it is dark (brown), it could be residual blood from your previous period that was left in the uterus and that turned darker while in there.
Depending on when your ovulation was (it should have occurred around 20th), the first brown spotting you experienced could have been either ovulation bleeding or implantation bleeding if you had sex some days before ovulation.
You should wait and see if you get your period, then you will know if you are pregnant or not. If you turned out not to be pregnant and this kind of bleeding occurs again, you should see a gynecologist and get checked to see if there’s some sort of vaginal infection that could have caused the bleedings (spotting).
