Bubbles in urine..What does it mean?

Hi, I have bubbles in my urine, does it mean that I am sick? What kind of disease can it indicate?

Hi, having bubbles in urine means that there is increased amount of proteins. Normally, there is a small amount of proteins excreted in the urine. The condition is called proteinuria. Normal values are up to 150 mg of protein per day. After strenuous exercise or while we are ill quantity of proteins may increase. In nephrotic syndrome urine protein is particularly high. Changes in the size of filters in the kidneys or by illness that damaged the kidney, lead to increase in excretion of proteins. Some medications that may damage the kidney, or genetically inherited abnormalities interfere with proper functioning of kidneys.
