Hi, I have a problem in my anal area. I feel an occasional burning that is really disturbing and uncomfortable. Is this happening to other people too, or do I have to go to the doctor?

Hi, of course you have to go to the doctor when you have a problem like this. Don’t be embarrassed, many people have problems in their anal area at least once in a life time. The sooner you start treating this properly, the bigger are chances to cure it. Anal burning can be caused by many conditions, like genital herpes and anal fissure. Some symptoms like itching, swelling and bleeding, depending on condition that you have, can appear along with anal burning. It is sometimes difficult to diagnose those conditions, because the line between the symptom and disease is not always clear. Because of that, you will have to tell your doctor your medical history and lifestyle, if you practice anal intercourse and your bowel habits. It will help him find a reason for your burning in anal area.

| to help eleviate the situation i recommend using a nonprescription ointment called calmoseptine. my surgeon recommend this product after having my colon and rectum removed. |
