My husband has had a localized burning sensation in the back right side of his head. It started about 4 months ago with a pop in his right ear and then extreme pressure in the right side only. He also had a burning sensation behind his right eye and right ear. The burning and pressure have not gone away. It is mainly behind the right ear and the pressure is in the occiptal region of his head, right below the ear and toward the back. Over the last week this has gotten worse, where he gets nauseated by standing up or talking (probably due to the pain). He says the pressure takes over his whole thinking and feels like there is something in his head. He has had a CT and MRI in the last week both negative. Any ideas what this could be or where to go from here? So far, his doctor is at a loss.
