HI all. I am 20 years old and have played sports almost my all life. At the age of 15 - 16 I noticed my left testicle felt kind of mushy. I haven’t done anything about it and it fills so even today. But, recently, I’ve noticed another problem - once out of every 5 or 6 ejaculations I experience burning sensation in my penis. This happens regardless of the time of my last ejaculation – it can be from 1 hour to few days. Also, once that happens, when I urinate afterwards, it burns me real badly. Does anybody here know what is wrong?? How should I treat this?? I’m really embarrassed and I don’t want to go to doc!! I would really appreciate any kind of help.

I’m sorry to say it, but the best advice anybody here can give you is the one you’ve excluded. Still, I think the best thing for you to do is call your doctor and make an appointment. A mushy sensation in your testicles itself can be problem. Burning sensation could also be a sign of many different medical concerns, from which some are really serious. The most common cause is an infection. I know that you feel uncomfortable discussing these kinds of problems with your doctor, but it is extremely important for you to do exactly that. Also, you shouldn’t be ashamed or afraid of it because, trust me, your doc have already seen so many patients with similar symptoms that he will try to make it as simple as possible for you. It is one simple routine for him.
