| hi, im a newbie. during the night i went to the bathroom to pee and when i got back in bed, i felt this burning sensation on my urethra or that thingy that pees. lol. it happened again when i went to pee a few mintes ago. this is the first time this ever happened to me. what do you think it is? |

When you have this burning sensation when are peeing, this could be the symptom of an STD. If you have had the unprotected sex with someone lately, and if this person has some kind of the STD, then you can be sure you are infected as well.
The burning sensation could also be the result of the urinary tract infection. It is often occurring when bacteria enter the urethra and multiply in the urinary tract. Urinary tract infections usually develop first in the lower urinary tract which means in urethra and bladder and, if not treated, progress to the upper urinary tract (urethras, kidneys).
These conditions are often treated with antibacterial medications. The most UTI’s are treated with Bactrim or amoxicillin, by using these drugs, the infection may improve within a few days but it is recommended to take the medicines for like 1 or 2 weeks so that the infection couldn’t progress and affect kidneys.
Just whatever, you should have it checked and also you could do the urine culture so that you have the result of it in your hands even before you go see your doc. |
