Burning sensation in belly

I've had this for a few months now. Since I do suffer from acid reflux, I figured it was related to it. But I did some research on it and typically acid reflux pain or discomfort is felt more in the upper chest area.

It seems to get triggered by specific types of food. Not just limited to spicy foods either. Last week I was eating a cucumber salad with olive oil and a little bit of salt and I had the sensation. Also occurs when drinking soft drinks. Not an intense pain, but more of a discomfort.

Any ideas as to what this may be?

Fire in the belly
More people are popping pills to control that burning sensation, which really isn't just their imagination. Doctors suspect diet and lifestyle are increasing heartburn-related problems.

I think you need to see your doctor for more effective treatment
