Burning sensation on nipples. what could be cuasing this.

About two weeks ago, I started getting this burning sensation on my nipples and areola....it started on my left breast now i also have that pain in my right breast. It feels like a burning sensation and soreness. I am 42 years old had a tubaligation in my 20s. I'm on advair and levothyroxin medication. that's all. What would be causing this? I use lotion all over every day and always make sure my body is moisturized. I have no peeling or scaling of any kind on my breast. I have a dr's appt next week, but I am very anxious as to what could be causing this.
