|

i am 20 weeks pregnant and i am having alot of problems with my arms/hands.
it started about a month ago and the doctors keep telling me that it is carpal tunnel. i don't think it is. physical therapy is not really working... it hurts the most when i lay down to sleep at night or sit for a period of time.
has anyone else experienced this? could it be a pinched nerve or maybe the baby is laying in an area that is causing these sensations?
help!!! i am soo tired and hurt all over |

| I just started with this as well. My face feels like it is on fire and is prickly. My neck feels like this as well as other parts of my body. Something I have that I haven't seen mentioned is problems with vision. Only recently things feel out of sorts and I feel off balance. Is anyone else having any issues with their vision? |

"Burning skin: You have a Burning skin sensation like you have a bad sun burn, but there are no apparent marks on the skin. The Burning skin sensation may remain in one location, or may move around the body randomly. It can be intermittent, or can persist for long periods of time. The Burning skin sensation is commonly magnified by stressful situations or fear-producing thoughts."
----------> i got this from this website: anxietycentre.com/anxiety-symptoms/burning_skin_sensation.shtml
i'm feeling it too... my arms burn but i dunno why... so i guess i'm stressed or smth |

I had burning in the skin with Fibromyalgia. I also had headaches a lot, and became very sensitive to smells, a long with 100 other symptoms. It feels like a suburn in different spots on your body.

Two months ago I started to sense something strange on my skin. There was nothing on it for real, but it felt as though I had spent several hours in the sun. Literally burning. This awkward feeling never actually withdrew. I visited all possible specialists, went on CAT scan check and had to do all bunch of tests and nothing. There is no visible, traceable and explicable reason for my burning skin. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Please, I don’t know what to do, this is killing me. No way can I lead a normal life with this.

|
|
| After I injured my knees and couldn't get help from the doctors, I started experiencing the same strange burning sensation you are all describing. Finally, I called my old doctor in Calif. & she told me burning was normally caused by stress. I know it's hard to believe, but it's true. It's a strange sort of anxiety/panic attack that your mind gets hooked into. I discovered I get it when I'm worried about a health issue and start thinking I might die from it. And it's worse if I've had sugar or sucralose, etc. Mostly I wake up with it in the night. Today I had to rethink what I was thinking before I went to sleep and I was worried that a little spot on my leg might be a blood clot and it might go to my heart, etc., etc. My friends say it's related to hormones and fear of dying and not feeling well, etc. It's very much attached to fear. Any pain I get now I think it's going to turn into arthritis or I'll die from my osteoporosis and at the least be crippled. So, it's just getting wired into our illness and our fears. It will take you awhile to believe it and talk yourself back out of it, but you will. Now I'm trying to figure out how to get myself out of the dying and disease mode and back into the land of the living. My friends and I also think it's made worse by watching our parents age and die, along with a lot of our friends, and knowing what's in store for us. So, if you are stressed and fearful and have minor pain or injuries, and then you start burning, I bet this is your problem. It's sad, though, as I know many of you probably won't believe me, but it's so true. Good luck! |

|

| I believe you will find research to support that niacin can cause this skin burning sensation. I have had it too, in recent months, when out walking. I've been taking Centrum chewable vitamin/minerals w/ 100%rda of niacin in it. I'm stopping it now and I'll see if it was the culprit. |

I have also experienced this skin burning sensation which, in my case, lasted for a week. I was so stressed out that time from domestic problems plus a urinary tract infection which required me to take several trips to the bathroom during nighttime, thereby depriving me of quality sleep. After my infection was gone, I still couldn't sleep at night due to the burning sensation which was painful. It was a vicious cycle because my lack of sleep made the burning pain worse.
So I looked for ways of taking out the stress by making peace with the person who was giving me the headaches, having quality sleep during daytime when the burning sensation wasn't in its peak and finding food for my soul, which for me was going to mass. |

| I have had this Burning skin since July. I've been on steroids. Nothing helps.I'm not on any meds now. Even my scalp hurts to brush my hair. My dr. said it was photo sensitive skin and to stay out of sunlight and florecent lights. Not much helping. It feels like a very very bad sunburn all the time. Please help if you can.. |
