I fear that I may have cervical cancer. I'm 16 years old and the last time I had unprotected sex was 4 years ago. I tested negative for HIV. But for the past 4 days I have been noticing brown discharge in my underwear. The very same thing happened last month and the month before last after about 2 weeks of my period. Someone told me I may just be ovulating or it may be old blood. Please give me some information on what this might be.

If you are having sex you NEED A PAP smear! A PAP test is the ONLY way to know if you have Cervical cancer, which is caused by a SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED VIRUS.

2ND Brown discharge is normal for all women!!! ESPECIALLY THOSE on the pill! It can also be a sign of ovulation yes!

IT IS NOT a sign of cervical cancer hun..BUT when you have sex you need a gyno exam. YOU DO NOT NEED PARENTAL CONSENT!!!! Planne dparenthood is a good place to start!

There are many reasons for brown discharge, which is old blood. It is not a symptom of cervical cancer, which is very rare in someone so young. A pap smear is a good idea if you are sexually active

I would really like to go get a pap smear but I am stationed overseas at the moment. My mom is in the military and works at a naval hospital with the people who give pap smears. It is more of a privacy thing because everyone knows each other over here and she doesn't want anyone in my business. I'm going to get one done as soon as possible. Thanks for your help.

hi , I have been searching around the internet for awhile now trying to find some insight on what might be going on with me . I am 21 years old and was told I had highgrade precancerous cells on my cervix , I had to get them removed through loop excision . Everything seemed fine there after until my discharge started to change meaning there was a large amount and sour to taste , I have also been feeling period like cramps ( some days there is more cramping then others) aswell as a slight pressure in the same area . The cramping and the pressure are still there but just today the discharge has changed in colour and amount and now there is an odour ..what is going on here ? please help ..
