Hello,
I have a question. I have a 10 year old son and he is overweight. That is why, I think, he has problems with self esteem …
My husband heard for this camp, called Camp Shane and we are planning to send our boy there over the summer. Is anyone here, that also heard for this camp and has any information, or even better had his child there?
I appreciate all replies!

Hi,
I send my daughter there. She also had problems with self esteem and boys were teasing her. Being overweight can cause a big frustration in puberty. She was also the mocking target of gym teacher! Huh, that made me mad… So, I decided to send her to Camp Shane, so she could see she is not the only one so young with weight problems, to make some new friends and to lift her self esteem. She lost 15 lbs and she is still keeping that weight. I am so proud of her. And she also made some new friends and she is going there this summer again to meet them … and perhaps again loose few lbs.
My daughter is a different character since Camp Shane, she is more open, has more self esteem and doesn’t care anymore for stupid remarks from boys …
I think this camp is one of the best things that happened to my child. I am very satisfied with their service, and as I said, I am sending there my child again. She wants to go! Here is the address of their home page and you can contact Camp Shane through mail: shane.com
I hope I helped,
Hope to see you in Camp Shane Smile
