Can Aspirin trigger abnormal heartbeats?

Hello! My mother has been using aspirin for some time. Last week she started to feel abnormal heartbeats. It was only for few second and then everything was normal. But then two days after she felt the same thing and yesterday again. She is very nervous and I think that she is actually very concerned. When she feels heart skipping and abnormal heartbeats she also panics and I am afraid of her reactions. Can Aspirin trigger abnormal heartbeats?

Hello! You haven't told me if your mother takes aspirin as prevention or she suffers from some kind of cardiovascular disease or any other chronic disease. Abnormal heartbeats and heart skipping can sometimes happen without any serious reason. But is she feels dizziness or shortness of breath she should visit her doctor immediately. Aspirin usually causes gastrointestinal problems and I have never heard that it causes abnormal heartbeats. In any case if this repeats too often your mother has to visit her doctor.
