My mother told me recently that we have Borderline Personality Disorder in family. My aunt, her sister, who died very young, had this illness. Now I’m 21 years old girl and I heard that one of the main causes of BPD is genetics. Tell me can Borderline Personality Disorder be prevented?

However, people who already have this illness may be able to prevent a return of their symptoms by going to their counseling appointments and taking any medicines as prescribed. You always can consult with your doctor.
