I am suffering from epilepsy for three years now. It started after severe head trauma and ever since I often have epi episodes that are manifested as motoric spasms in the hand. I control these with the combination of anti epileptics. One of those is Gabapentin and I need to know can this drug be addictive?

This is one of the better choices when it comes to dealing with epileptic episodes. It is applied 3 to 6 times a day until full anti epileptic effect is achieved. Most important side effect is weakness, tiredness, somnolence, dizziness After 2 weeks of treatment, these symptoms should subdue. I did not hear for addiction, all I know is that drugs must be applied gradually and the treatment must be finished in the same way.
